ENDICOTT Vicki Shafer of Shafer's Tour & Charter successfully completed the course requirements to earn her Certified Travel Industry Specialist designation.

The program is administered for the American Bus Association by Indiana University/Purdue University Indianapolis. It is the first university-administered certification program in the group travel industry.

Participants completed five correspondence courses and attended eight industry advancement seminars.

More than 450 ABA members have received the designation since the program's inception in 1989.
